Alabama Selected for $110M Food Plant

The facility could increase production capacity by over 100 million pounds annually and create 510 jobs.

Texas-based meat producer John Soules Foods has announced it will invest $110 million to acquire and upgrade a new factory in Valley, Alabama. The company feels the upgraded 266,000 square-foot facility will increase production capacity of the brand’s fully-cooked range of foods by over 100 million pounds annually.

The expansion is expected to bring 510 jobs to the area. John Soules Foods produces a range of fully-cooked chicken, beef and breaded chicken for the U.S. market. The facility stems from growth in the U.S. grocery and food service markets.
