Maintenance product distributor Highline Warren announced Monday that it has acquired cleaning brand Sprayway brand from PLZ Corp.
Highline Warren officials said that Sprayway, which dates back to 1947, is the no. 2 cleaning brand in glass in the U.S. by unit share and has “growing offerings” in surface care, liquids, wipes, and automotive and industrial solutions.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Sprayway into our expanding portfolio of maintenance consumables,” Highline Warren CEO Darcy Curran said in the announcement. “We look forward to enhancing Sprayway’s accessibility through our nationwide distribution network and industry-leading 98.5% fill rate, while also introducing new product lines.”
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
PLZ was formed by the merger of aerosol manufacturer Plaze Inc. and Sprayway maker Claire Manufacturing in 2005. Fenton Challgren, PLZ’s chief executive, said that the brand “has grown significantly across retail channels over the last several years and is poised to be a powerhouse in the cleaning segment.”
Highline Warren, based in Memphis, says it is a vertically integrated distributor serving over 10,000 customers with 30,000 products from 21 manufacturing and distribution facilities across North America.
