German pump manufacturer KNF on Monday announced the retirement of its longtime CEO and the appointment of the company’s COO as his successor.
Martin Becker led the company for 26 years and spent more than four decades at the business in total. He will continue as chairman of the company’s board. Alexander Heizler took over as CEO effective this month; he joined the company in 2009 and became COO in 2021.
KNF officials said the announcement followed a “carefully planned transition period.”
“KNF stands as a technology leader, guided by strong values, a clear vision and an exceptional global team,” Heizler said in a statement. “It is a privilege to be part of this outstanding organization of over 900 dedicated colleagues worldwide, and I am looking forward to continuing our successful journey.”
“Passing on the operational leadership of KNF is a deeply personal step for me,” said Becker. “I am proud of what we have built together and, having worked with Alexander Heizler for many years, I am confident that he will lead the company with the same passion and responsibility.”
KNF’s diaphragm pumps and gas and liquid handling solutions are used across a wide range of industries and applications. The company operates 24 locations worldwide.
