Beverage distributor Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits announced Tuesday that it has officially opened a new "state-of-the-art" distribution center in Southeast Louisiana.
The company said the 375,000-square-foot facility in Geismar will be its "strategic anchor" in the state — supporting long-term growth and scalability in the area for "the next 30 years."
Its systems, meanwhile, would enable improved service, product availability and turnaround times.
“As we continue to invest in our supply chain infrastructure, this facility in Geismar reflects our commitment to providing best-in-class service for our customers and suppliers,” David Gneo, vice president of national operations at Southern Glazer’s, said in a statement. “We are constantly working to strengthen our ability to meet growing demand while also prioritizing sustainability and operational excellence.”
