Deli products maker Dietz & Watson on Monday announced a 15-year agreement with Constellation Energy for the purchase of renewable electricity that would offset the energy use of its facilities in Philadelphia and Baltimore.

Under the agreement, Dietz & Watson will receive approximately 39,000 megawatt-hours of energy per year, which would help the company reduce its carbon footprint by more than 18,600 metric tons annually.

Constellation also entered into a separate pact to procure 20 megawatts of energy from a solar project in Indiana.

“We value the health of our surroundings and our environment,” Dietz & Watson CEO Louis Eni said in a statement. “If our decisions can help improve the world in which we live and work, we will do it. That is why we have taken this step in the right direction and made the decision for our facilities to work with Constellation on this renewable energy program.”
