TAMPA, Fla -- Real American Beer (RAB), a company co-founded by Hulk Hogan in June 2024, today announced its expansion into the Iowa market. The move is a direct extension of the brand’s partnership with Real American Freestyle (RAF), an unscripted professional freestyle wrestling league. Real American Beer is the league's official beer sponsor.

Since its launch, RAB has been a disruptor in the light beer category, dominated by Modelo and Bud Light. As of late last year, the company ranked 209th among 1,323 active competitors in the space tracked by Tracxn.

Real American Freestyle’s unscripted format, Olympic-level and MMA crossover athletes, and fight-night presentation have created a level of engagement that rivals major combat sports properties, giving Real American Beer a national stage where fans experience the brand in real time.

“Iowa sits at the center of wrestling culture in America, and that audience is massive and incredibly loyal,” said Terri Francis, CEO of Real American Beer.

Last month, RAB announced it had eclipsed 10 million cans sold and unveiled a strategic relaunch of the brand, including new taglines like “200% American."

As of March 2026, RAB is available in 31 states in a 12oz 6pk, 12pk, 24pk, as well as 16oz LIGHT and ZERO. It is also available in kegs.

“In a wrestling state like Iowa, Real American Beer and Real American Freestyle create a story retailers understand and consumers can get excited about,” said Mason Lee, Managing Partner of 7G Distributing.

Country music artist Brantley Gilbert recently became an investor and equity partner in RAB and helped launch RAB ZERO, the brand’s first non-alcoholic beer. The launch also introduced a national partnership with the USO, with $1 donated per case of RAB ZERO sold to support U.S. service members and their families.
