Spirits company Sazerac announced early this month that it has acquired North Texas vodka and gin maker Western Son.

Western Son, founded in 2011 and based in Pilot Point, Texas, makes a range of flavored vodkas in addition to its “original” vodka and gin offerings. The company will join Sazerac’s lineup, which also includes the Buffalo Trace, Svedka, Fireball and Southern Comfort labels.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"We are excited to bring Western Son to Sazerac," Sazerac CEO Jake Wenz said in the announcement. "The company has created a strong brand and it provides us an opportunity to continue to augment our portfolio, while also adding additional production capacity and capabilities to our network."
