AUSTIN, Minn. (AP) — Hormel Foods Corp. on Thursday reported fiscal second-quarter net income of $180 million.
On a per-share basis, the Minnesota-based food company said it had profit of 33 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 35 cents per share.
The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 35 cents per share.
The maker of Spam canned ham, Dinty Moore stew and other brands posted revenue of $2.9 billion in the period, also meeting Street forecasts.
Hormel expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.58 to $1.68 per share.
