Snacks brand Utz recently announced the launch of limited-edition lemonade-flavored potato chips in partnership with childhood cancer charity Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.
The chips will be available in 7.75-ounce bags through August, while supplies last, at leading retailers and at Utz's website. A portion of each sale — up to $25,000 total — will go to the foundation.
Utz officials said that the chip combines "the tangy sweetness of lemonade" with the chips' salty crush in a "bold, unique flavor experience."
"The new chips are summer in a bite,” said Stacey Schultz, senior vice president of marketing at Utz Quality Foods LLC, said in a statement. “Beyond the incredible taste, we are also thrilled to partner with and support Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation’s incredible work in the fight against childhood cancer.”
