Pabst Brewing Company has announced the launch of a new light lager named "Pabst Light."
The company said the beer blends "retro inspiration with a modern, clean design" to appeal to "today's light beer drinkers." Pabst Light has 96 calories, 3.5 grams of carbohydrates and 4.2% alcohol by volume; the brand's flagship Pabst Blue Ribbon has an ABV of 4.7%.
Pabst Light will roll out nationwide this month, officials said.
"We developed a new, special recipe for Pabst Light using only premium ingredients," John Kimes, senior vice president of brewing at Pabst, said in a statement. "El Dorado hops are rarely used in American Light beer, and they create a smooth, crisp and refreshing taste.'
