CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) — Campbell Soup Co. on Thursday reported fiscal fourth-quarter net income of $96 million.
The New Jersey-based company said it had net income of $0.32 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to $0.56 per share.
The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of $0.56 per share.
The maker of canned soup, Pepperidge Farm cookies and V8 juice posted revenue of $1.99 billion in the period, topping Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.98 billion.
For the year, the company reported profit of $757 million, or $2.51 per share. Revenue was reported as $8.56 billion.
Campbell expects full-year earnings in the range of $2.85 to $2.95 per share.
