THOMASVILLE, Ga. (AP) — Flowers Foods Inc. on Thursday reported second-quarter earnings of $53.7 million.
The Georgia-based company said it had profit of $0.25 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and severance costs, came to $0.31 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $0.27 per share.
The bakery goods company posted revenue of $1.13 billion in the period, which met Street forecasts.
Flowers Foods expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.25 to $1.30 per share with revenue in the range of $4.76 billion to $4.85 billion.
