8LSA series servo motors are designed to offer high-performance dynamics, precision and dependability. The servo motors use standard 19-bit encoders for consistent movements and accurate positioning while 25-bit encoders and multi-turn encoders are available. The absolute encoder functions without a battery, making it maintenance free. Bearings are sufficiently dimensioned and filled with high-quality synthetic lubricant. A linear temperature sensor in the motor winding sends the temperature, measured to the degree, to the higher-level inverter while a second temperature model integrated in the inverter calculates a virtual motor temperature from the process data for complete protection of the motor winding. All relevant data is stored in the encoder for optimal control.
