KoACT®, a patented chelated compound of calcium and hydrolyzed collagen peptides, has been shown to increase both bone strength and bone mineral density in animal studies and in a recent human study to increase biomarkers of bone growth. The product has received Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) status. The reviewed ingredient has been deemed safe for use as a food ingredient and is produced in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices. The product provides bone support by combining calcium and collagen together as a nutritional ingredient in functional foods.
