Protesters in dozens of cities took time out of their holiday weekend on Saturday to protest Monsanto, the seed giant at the forefront of genetically modified foods research. The "March Against Monsanto" protesters touted a variety of issues including intellectual property concerns and GMO labeling initiatives. Tami Cana, who created the events on Facebook, said,
"We will continue until Monsanto complies with consumer demand. They are poisoning our children, poisoning our planet. If we don't act, who's going to?"
