Northern Beef Packers, a South Dakota beef packing plant largely funded by Korean investors, has been running part time since last year and has finally ammassed enough capital to fund full-time production. Laure Swanson, a spokesperson for the company said,
"This is important because this is the amount we need to run the plant and move forward. It includes working capital. In the past, we have had some financial delays. Now with this last phase, it will take us to where we really need for our operation."
