PROCESS EXPO Partners with Academic Experts
MCLEAN, Va. (FPSA) — The Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA) today announced that it will be partnering with a long list of academic institutions in order to develop the educational program for PROCESS EXPO 2013, taking place at Chicago's McCormick Place from November 3-6, 2013. As a result of this partnership, the PROCESS EXPO educational program will address key issues in important segments of the food and beverage industry and include expert speakers from Iowa State University, Kansas State University, Michigan State University, Ohio State University, Purdue University, UC Davis, University of Idaho, University of Nebraska, and University of Wisconsin.
“Each university was selected for its expertise in a particular segment of the industry," said Jeff Dahl, Chairman of the Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA) and Business Manager of JBT FoodTech. “These schools are at the top of their fields in the science of meat, baking, beverage, prepared foods and food processing. Additionally, they work extensively with industry through their extension programs and as such are uniquely positioned to discuss the latest innovations in their field."
Attendance at PROCESS EXPO educational sessions is free of charge for all registered attendees and sessions will take place on the show floor throughout the four day event.
“Education is a critical component of our event and a major reason why many attendees come to the trade show,” said FPSA President and CEO David Seckman. “When paired with the educational sessions of our co-location partners, the International Dairy Show and NAMA's Outlook Conference, there is not a single event out there that can match the level of education that processors will find at PROCESS EXPO. The expertise that they find in all of these sessions, along with that on the show floor is a tangible benefit that they can bring back to their business to address important issues or create new business opportunities."
PROCESS EXPO 2013 is co-located with the International Dairy Show and the North American Meat Association's (NAMA) Outlook Conference. Registered attendees will have open access to all three events and registration for PROCESS EXPO 2013 will open on January 21, 2013. Details of the full educational program will be released to the public in the opening months of 2013. More information on PROCESS EXPO 2013 and on future events can be found at www.myprocessexpo.com.
